ABOUT EMMA

Emma Kirk-Odunubi is a gait analyst, footwear expert, and qualified sports scientist with over 15 years of experience in the running industry — ever since her first job at age 13, learning how to fit running shoes.

She studied at Brunel University, graduating with a 2:1 BSc in Sports Science, where she combined academic theory with a growing passion for biomechanics and performance. That foundation now underpins her evidence-based approach to coaching and athlete development.

Today, Emma coaches high-energy treadmill classes at Third Space and works 1:1 with runners and athletes through her platform To The Finish Line Coaching, helping them crush their goals with smart, strength-focused training and science-backed insight.

Emma is a self-confessed biomechanics nerd with a gift for matching the right shoe to the right runner. Drawing on her background as a Strength & Conditioning coach, she helps athletes understand their form, prevent injury, and build power from the ground up.

She’s been an ambassador for major global brands — including Puma, Under Armour, and lululemon — and is no stranger to a challenge herself. From 15+ marathons and multiple half marathons to indoor Ironman events and 24-hour fitness fundraisers, Emma walks the talk (or runs it, rather).

Outside of the gym, Emma is a proud Beyoncé stan (no, she won’t hear otherwise), passionately anti-cheese (yes, even cheese on pizza), and believes in the restorative power of a little chocolate every single day.

She’s modelled for leading sports brands, contributes as a columnist for Women’s Running, and spoken on stages about running, injury, mindset, and identity. As a Black, bisexual, mixed-race woman, Emma is proudly making space in the fitness industry where unicorns like her are still too rare.

Her coaching style is built on honesty, empowerment, and performance with purpose — ensuring every runner starts with a strong foundation and progresses with confidence, clarity, and care.
